Amritsar finally has a stage.
We are the city's first public speaking community: a weekly room where ordinary people practise speaking, listening and leading.

A city full of stories, and nowhere to practise telling them.
Amritsar has no shortage of people with something to say. What it didn't have was a place to practise saying it, out loud, in front of others, without being judged.
So we started meeting every Saturday. We take turns to speak, give each other honest feedback, and come back the next week to try again.
Four things we hold on to
Doing beats watching
Confidence isn't built by watching. It's built by standing up and speaking.
Feedback is a shortcut
It isn't criticism. It's the fastest way to find out what to try next.
Nobody gets judged
No perfect English, no perfect speeches. Mistakes are part of the practice.
Everyone gets a turn
Members run the meetings. Roles rotate, so everyone speaks and everyone leads.
From one Saturday to 11 members
The first Saturday
A handful of people, one room, and a lot of nervous first speeches.
A weekly habit
We kept showing up, and it became a fixed date: every Saturday at 4 PM.
11 members today
We take turns to speak, evaluate and lead the meeting.
The next chair
There is a seat saved for you this Saturday at 4 PM.

You don't need to be a good speaker to walk in. You only need to be willing to stand up. We'll take care of the rest, together.
